Ian Dobson and World Music Band

PLEASE EMAIL IAN AT www.drumworld.tv and let him know your ideas about what you think would be a good name for the group described and heard below.  The name needs to have at least "Ian" or "Dobson" in it and needs to strongly imply world music.  Some ideas so far are:

Ian Dobson Globe Band
Ian Dobson Globalistas
Ian and the Globe Band

This group features Ian on percussion and strives to draw on rich musical traditions throughout the world in a way that perfectly fits the occasion.

For example, if you have a caribbean party, the group might include cuban percussioin, steel drum, and other typical instruments from the Caribbean.  Ian can even provide dance lessons!  With Salsa, Rhumba, Merengue, Cha Cha, Calypso, Soca, and Caribbean jazz songs bursting forth from the band the caribbean party atmosphere is irresistable.  This group is available with 2-9 musicians.

Or maybe you want an Andean theme.  The group would include Ian on Andean percussion, with other musicians playing typical Andean instruments like pan pipes, and quena.  With Andean and South American styles like Cumbia eminating from the bandstand you will swear you are actually there.

For the more adventerous crowd, Ian will lead his group into many uncharted territories of musical mixology, in the process stumbling on some beutiful cultural combinations.

How about 1930s French Gypsy jazz mixed with Caribbean Music?  Try it, it's delicious!!
