Come join Ian Dobson on a rhythm and dance journey where all roads lead to Brazil for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games!  You will stomp, clap, and sing your way to Brazil from the North and from the East.  In the process you will learn about steel drums, body percussion, the music and dance of Brazilian culture, and where that culture came from.  Get ready to make the perfect music for this summer’s games!

Among other things, students will learn to:

1. Identify the language spoken in Brazil

2. Identify the language spoken in Cuba

3. Identify a dance style from Brazil

4. Identify a dance style from the Caribbean

5. Find Brazil on a map

Ian’s interactive web site provides learning opportunities before and after the show.  The program is 45 to 50 minutes in length and requires ideally at least a 10' X 10' performance space.  There are no limits on the size of the audience and Ian has performed his shows solo to audiences from 20 to around 1000.
