Variatioins of the Steel Drum Party show

A. Virtual Steel Drum Party!

Culture, Music, Creativity, Technology

Steel Drum Party translates perfectly to the virtual space.  It is almost the same show as the live version, complete with all the audience participation!

“Ian provided an engaging, interactive –live- virtual musical performance for children and families.  Everyone chanted, moved and danced to the beats of multiple instruments!  I liked that participants could make or find an instrument to play and share for the performance.  We look forward to having him back for another performance, virtually or in-person!”

Target Audience 6-12 years or high school/college

The steel drum is a beautiful, highly-sophisticated instrument that can play
any kind of music... but it was created out of metal junk by people in the
Caribbean! This workshop takes the amazing example of the steel drum and
uses it to inspire participants to use their own resourcefulness and creativity
to invent original musical instruments out of recycled materials.
